The personnel of PPSU Semper Timur urban Village, Clincing Sub-district, North Jakarta demolished inrit or concrete covering water channel on Jalan Kebantenan I. The inrit must be demolished since it disturbed the water flow and caused puddle.

"The water channel is difficult to be cleaned since the inrit covered the channel," said Darmawan, head of Semper Timur Urban Village, Thursday (8/20).

According to him, the trash also clogged the water channel and finally disturbed the water flow. "Removing the inrit will ease us cleaning the trash," he added.

Based on beritajakarta.com observation, about 25 personnel were deployed to the scene to removed the inrit along 300 meters water channel. The longest inrit was in front of minimart by ten meters.

"It is hoped our effort would make the water flows normally and minimize the flood impact," he disclosed.
